Who are we ?

Ain Shams University Students’ Scientific Society (AUSSS) is a non-profit student entity that is formed of medical students studying at Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Medicine.

The organization is a form of free students’ activity, having scientific, cultural and social activities but no political or religious ones. It is independent of the Student Unions and their activities, and abiding by the rules of Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Medicine.

The organization is an autonomous affiliate member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association in Egypt (IFMSA-Egypt) a branch of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association (IFMSA).

The organization promotes humanitarian ideals among medical students and so seeks to contribute to the creation of responsible future physicians. It aims at providing better educational environment to all medical students of the faculty and it also aims at involving students in public health and research projects.

There are 6 Standing Committees that form the AUSSS, Each one interested in a specific field, namely: Public Health, Reproductive Health including AIDS, Humanitarian Projects, Medical Education as well as Clinical and research exchange.

AUSSS Holds a number of unique events each year, such as the Ain shams International Medical STudents' Congress (AIMSC), and the summer and winter school programs.

The AIMSC is considered one of the biggest and oldest medical students' Congresses in the world
